The Shoe Story

This is my father's (Nand Katyal) painting made in Jaisalmer this year, he had these shoes which were very old and dear to him. They had all types of paint drops and finally after making his paintings on the spot near the Sonar Qila he did away with his shoes. I really liked the painting and so I shot it.

Through The Train

I went to Shirdi recently, the place where Sai Baba spent his life. It was a much awaited journey as we had canelled it once. I took my camera as usual but I did'nt click a single picture while in Shirdi. But in the morning while returning back to Delhi, the train stopped for a while and I rushed to my luggage and pulled out my camera and made this pan of the the lush green wheat fields.

I went to shoot an annual day of famous Odissi Dancer Kiran Segal's dance school. While using my Nikon D80 my flash unit stopped working and I had to use the inbuilt flash. It was challenging but I managed it and Kiran also loved the pics. This small girl was enjoying her dancing and I found her with this mischevious smile and I rate this as the my pic of the day.
